The face behind Number Nine Cake Design, creating bespoke celebration cakes from my home kitchen in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

I’ve always been creative. With a background in Art & Design and Surface Pattern, I’ve spent years exploring different creative outlets, from photography and ceramics to silversmithing. But above everything else, I’ve always been a foodie at heart.

I truly believe food has a wonderful way of bringing people together. Some of life’s best conversations happen around a table, and every celebration, big or small, deserves a beautiful cake at its centre. That’s what I love most about what I do – creating cakes that become part of those special moments and lasting memories.

Number Nine Cake Design began in 2022 after I rediscovered my creativity through cake decorating during a particularly challenging chapter of family life. What started as making increasingly elaborate birthday cakes for my three boys and cupcakes for charity fundraisers soon became a genuine passion and, eventually, my business. Cake making gave me a creative outlet when I needed it most, and I’m incredibly grateful that it has grown into the career I love today.

For me, the magic is always in the details. I love creating cakes that reflect the person they’re made for, whether that’s a favourite hobby, a treasured memory or the little quirks that make them unique.

When you enquire, tell me more than their age or favourite colour. Tell me what they love, what makes them laugh and the things that make them who they are. Those thoughtful details are what transform a cake into something truly personal.

Because you’re not just ordering a cake, you’re creating a memory, celebrating someone special and sharing a moment with the people you love.
